sweet sock snowmen

while poking around pinterest before the holidays, i saw this cute craft and had to make a few as a gift for my snowman-loving mom.  i used some cheap new socks for the snowmen themselves, then went through our basket of lonely socks and picked three to make clothes from.  much to ej's dismay, i also used a lot of perfectly good rice to fill them.

 using just three socks to make the clothes helped them look like more of a matched set.

 the hat for the little guy was made from the heel of one of the white socks and a couple of yarn scraps.

i wonder if i could do sock easter bunnies too....with little pom pom tails :)
