EJ received the following letter from one of the non-profits in the hemophilia community, called Save-One-Life, that assists overseas orphans with hemophilia. I just wanted to pass the word on since they need help. I can assure you this is not a scam. :)
~Last October everyone helped us to raise $17,000 in 48 hours to provide funding to bring little Luke, a Chinese orphan with hemophilia, home to the US. He is now growing up healthy and well in Michigan with his new family. We have found another boy from China, Kyle, who is without a mom and dad, has hemophilia, and little to no factor. Try to imagine how sad and painful his life must be!
The good news is he has a new family! The Stermers in Maryland have been approved and the only thing keeping them from bring their child home is the money. Danielle has already put about $15,000 of her own money into the adoption, but needs an additional $10,000 more. Last night I put in $250, and want to ask all of you to help contribute whatever you can, to bring this poor child to his new family—and new American life.
